Let's Start From the Beginning
My Journey to Leduc
I grew up in northern Alberta, attending school in Grande Prairie before graduating from Public High School in High Level. From an early age, I was fascinated by technology and numbers, which led me to pursue a B.Sc. (Major in Computing Science, minor in Mathematics) from the University of Alberta, graduating in 1993. My career has taken me through both private and public sectors, working with oil and gas companies and serving in the IT departments of Edmonton and Calgary. Now as a resident of Leduc, it is my desire to lead us to new heights. Our city of Leduc has a lot of potential in terms of economics and beauty.
Roots in Community
In 2004, I found a new calling in the Leduc community when I became the owner and operator of A&W; which also lead to more business developments like aquiring the Clock Tower Mall. Throughout the last two decades I have managed to build businesses both in Leduc and in B.C combined together more than 75 employees currently. Although I have built businesses in B.C, my heart lives in Leduc; where everything started. I have had the privilege of giving back in ways that are close to my heart in Leduc. I’ve helped many people secure jobs, mentoring them not only on workplace responsibilities but also on discipline, punctuality, and life skills that will help them succeed in the future. Supporting education, sports, has also been important to me because I strongly beleive that the younger generation must be given all chances to succeed. Working with Schools to provide work experience credits towards graduations; I encourage the youth to pursue higher education.
